Trouble Connecting Quick-Connects on CYCLE-TAINER Systems

There are two common problems that may prevent a proper connection of the Quick-Connect bodies on CYCLE-TAINER systems: 1. Vapor-lock: Hydroscopic pressure between the solvent valve and the male stem may build up and prevent proper connection of the female body to the male stem. Open the solvent valve and let the container sit a few minutes to relieve this pressure. Then try to reconnect the quick connects. 2. Compatibility of the Quick-Connects: Solvent Quick-Connect bodies are keyed and color-coded to help prevent cross contamination. If the color band on the male Quick-Connect stem does not match that on the female quick-connect body the parts will not connect together. Use a female Quick-Connect body that is the same color as the male stem. Gas Quick-Connects are not keyed. Only use non-keyed (silver) Quick Connect bodies for gas port connections If these two recommendations do not help, please contact the Avantor Technical Service Department.
