Difference between Food-GMP and GMP for drug products.

Information

Question The Certificate of Analysis for some of your products lists "Food-GMP Manufactured" while others simply list "GMP Manufactured." What is the difference?
Answer

Food-grade chemicals are typically manufactured under Food GMPs (21 CFR Part 110 -GMP for Human Food) and not necessarily pharmaceutical GMP 21 CFR Parts 210 & 211 - GMP for the Manufacture, Processing, Packing, or Holding of Drugs).

GMP guidelines can be viewed on the FDA's website: http://www.fda.gov/
