Return Process for CYCLE-TAINER Solvent Delivery Systems (SHaRE Program)

In 1993, Avantor Performance Materials introduced the CYCLE-TAINER Returnable Container System.This innovative solvent delivery system, which allows solvent users to reduce waste, enhance safety, and maintain solvent purity, is now widely used in laboratories and manufacturing facilities throughout North America.TodayAvantor Performance Materials packaging options also include NOWPak containers, another returnable package designed to enhance safety and purity.

To simplify the process of returning empty containers, Avantor Performance Materials developed the SHaRE program. SHaRE is an acronym for SHipping and REturn. Through a contract with Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. (ODFL), CYCLE-TAINER system users can take advantage ofAvantor Performance Materials low freight costs for the return of empty containers. This simple and economical program makes the return efficient and trouble-free. The steps of the SHaRE program are listed below.

To enlist in the SHaRE Program:

Make contact with Avantor Performance Materials CYCLE-TAINER System Administrator and provide your contact information and preferred billing method.The simplest approach is to provide a blanket PO Number to cover multiple return shipments.Avantor Performance Materials consolidates and re-bills the shipping charges on a monthly basis.

After enlisting, to arrange for each SHaRE program pick-up:

• Empty and prepare containers for shipment. For instructions on preparing the CYCLE-TAINER system containers, see the Instruction Manual or click Empty CYCLE-TAINER System Container Shutdown and Removal Checklist
• Contact Carol Berg at ODFL to schedule an empty container return shipment. Carol can be reached between the hours of 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM EST by telephone at 1-800-800-7770 ext-3933 or by e-mail at AvantorSHaRE@ODFL.com. Should Carol be out of the office for an extended period, her message will indicate the back-up person at ODFL to be contacted.
• Indicate that you are using the Avantor SHaRE program for either the CYCLE-TAINERS system or NOWPak containers. ODFL's representative will need the following:
  • Company name and street address - including building name or number
  • Contact name for shipment
  • Telephone and either a fax number or e-mail address
  • Pick-up Hours
  • Special arrangements and/or equipment needs
  • Purchase Order (same PO number provided to Avantor during enlistment)
  • The total number of containers and whether they are full  or empty
  • Product number and serial numbers (CYCLE-TAINER   system containers)
  • Product number and whether the shipment is 4 x 200 L  or 32 x 20 L (NOWPak containers)
• Receive completed Bill of Lading from ODFL via fax or e-mail
• Attach completed Bills of Lading with pre-assigned pro number to container(s)
• ODFL will pick up container(s) within 48 hours.
